A walking tour of 2 hours with a guide to discover the most beautiful architecture of Bordeaux.
The guide will take you to one of the most prestigious monuments in Bordeaux: the Grand-Théâtre, built in the 18th century. He or she will start by asking you to look up to admire the sculptures of muses and goddesses overlooking the Place de la Comédie as well as the city’s famous mascarons (stone faces), wrought iron balconies, historic inscriptions, and a host of other architectural details.
We are waiting for you to discover the wealth of the city, marked by the golden age that was the eighteenth century.
Monday June 26th, 2017 – Saint Emilion / 5:30pm – 11:30pm
At the end of the first day of the scientific meeting, we invite you on a tour in Saint-Emilion. From tertres to escalettes, from the ramparts of the city to the heart of ancient monasteries, your guide will tell you the main stages of development of the medieval city of Saint-Émilion, from its origins to nowadays.
Highlight of the tour – yet located underground: you will discover the mysteries of its underground monuments including the unique monolithic church. A dinner will follow the visit.
Tuesday June 27th, 2017 – Château Giscours 5:30pm – 11:00pm
Join us for a relaxed evening full of culture and elegance. Enjoy a great time and have a wonderful dinner in the largest and oldest vineyard of fine wines in the world. Good atmosphere and exceptional place guaranteed!
Wednesday June 28th, 2017 – Arcachon 2:15pm – 9:00pm
With an extraordinary diversity of natural spaces, the Arcachon Bay invites you to a change of scene. A truly wild area, the island is home to many bird species. In front of the island, stand the Cabanes Tchanquées
Through a cruise you will discover the amazing view that the bay is offering ; the dune du Pilat on one side, the Cap Ferret Peninsula on the other side and also Arcachon sea front, the houses on pilotis of the « île aux oiseaux » and the oysters parks !
You will enjoy a nice break in a typical fishermen village and taste oysters with a glass of fresh white wine.
